Bonjour & Welcome!

I’m Natasha Bridget, an English-speaking certified Wedding Celebrant and Master of Ceremonies based in the Dordogne, creating modern, personal and inclusive wedding ceremonies for couples marrying across south-west France.

With a background in radio, public speaking, human rights and diversity, I bring warmth, confidence and inclusivity to your day, working alongside your wedding planner, venue and suppliers so you can relax, be present and enjoy it.

For me, the ceremony isn’t the formality before the party, it’s the reason everyone is there. Let’s make it one of the best parts of your wedding day.

My Approach

Meaningful doesn’t have to mean serious, and personal definitely doesn’t have to mean predictable.

Whether you’re non-religious, religious, interfaith, multicultural, LGBTQ+ or blending traditions, I’ll guide you through the possibilities, from personalised vows, readings and music to handfasting and symbolic rituals, helping you choose what feels right and ditch what doesn’t.

Want to seal your vows with a tequila shot? Have your dog deliver the rings? Let your guests take selfies before you arrive, then put their phones away for an unplugged ceremony? I’m in.

This optional add-on takes the pressure off you and your favourite people, so everyone can simply relax and enjoy this rare moment together. Working collaboratively with your wedding planner, I’m the voice your guests hear, ensuring everything flows smoothly.

I’ll welcome and seat guests, cue the bridal party, and introduce or prompt speakers and performers, keeping your guests informed, engaged, and at ease.

Additionally, I host an online rehearsal with your speakers to review cues and timings, and offer support to trim speeches if needed, so everything stays lively and on point.

As your MC, I’m the calm, reassuring presence on the mic, supporting your speakers, easing the pressure on your loved ones, and helping everyone feel confident, cared for, and completely present in the moment.

 Your Wedding Ceremony in France: FAQs

Because your love story deserves more than paperwork.

  • A wedding ceremony with an Independent Celebrant in France is not legally binding. Only a ceremony conducted by the local Maire (Mayor) at the town hall can legally marry you, and these are usually short, administrative, and conducted in French. French law also requires at least 30 days of residency in the commune along with extensive paperwork, which makes it challenging for non-residents.

    Most destination wedding couples handle the legal part in their home country and then come to France for the ceremony they’ve been dreaming about.

  • Freedom. Without legal restrictions or scripts, Independent Celebrants can co-design a ceremony that truly reflects you, your story, your promises, your style. This is the part your guests will remember: the laughter, the tears, the atmosphere. Having a professional celebrant means you and all of your guests can fully enjoy the ceremony, without worrying about timing, flow, or improvising.

  • I lead ceremonies in English, but I can include French elements if you’d like to honour the setting or welcome French-speaking guests.

  • Absolutely! Handfasting, wine rituals, readings, blessings or something entirely new. The ceremony is about celebrating who you are, in a way that feels true to you.
